Victor V. Zarate of Armada passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at the age of 82.
Vic was born on March 23, 1934 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Genaro and Natividad Zarate. He was a very proud Army veteran. Victor married Petra Guerrero on June 29, 1963 in New Haven, MI. He greatly enjoyed the Detroit Tigers, traveling, bingo and especially time with his loving family.
Victor is survived by his loving wife Petra; children Julia Anna Zarate, Phil Zarate, Teresa Zarate, Isabel E. (Larry) Steinbrink; grandchildren Robert (Jessica) Bradley, Tony Steinbrink, Chent Steinbrink, Victoria Flores, Christina Eve Zarate, Elena Flores, Aaron Zarate, Lupe Flores and Joe Zarate; Great Grandchildren Rome Bradley and Odin Bradley; siblings Tim (the late Carmen) Zarate, Alex (Maria) Zarate, Robert (Margaret) Zarate, Mary (Bob) Carrizales, Lydia Atkinson and the late Jesse (Kila) Zarate. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Vic will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Visitation will be on Thursday, January 25, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with White Clover Ceremony at 6:30 p.m. with a Rosary immediately following at Tiffany-Young & Hauss Funeral Home, Modetz Chapel, 73919 S. Fulton, Armada. The Funeral Service will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 26, 2017 at St. Mary Mystical Rose in Armada with instate time starting at 10:30 a.m. at the church. Burial will take place in Willow Grove Cemetery.
