Robert A. Deneweth (Rob), age 66, passed away peacefully in his home in Armada on June 13, 2020. His cancer diagnosis in November of 2018 did not slow him down until the last month of his life.
Rob was most proud of his family: his wife Cathy of 40 years, his son Robert (deceased) and daughter Dana, and his granddaughter Rowan, who is everyone’s sunshine.
He retired from Pepsi-Cola in 2015 after 45 years of service. Rob also loved his volunteer firefighting career, serving 16 years with Harrison Township followed by 16 years with Armada Township.
Rob was a lifetime member of Ten Acres Hunt Club. He shared his love of nature with his father, son, and generations of good buddies. Like his father Bob, Rob enjoyed the camaraderie of the Juggle Up Club, where he stayed connected with generations of Mt. Clemens friends over a beer or two.
Rob valued his childhood years growing up on the Deneweth homestead, when Hall Rd. was still dirt.
Topping the list of his many great qualities, he was easygoing, gentle-hearted, and hardworking.
In addition to his love of hunting, he also enjoyed other outdoor activities like splitting wood, cutting grass and plowing snow.
In recent years, Rob and Cathy enjoyed their Florida home in Ave Maria.
Rob will be deeply missed by his sisters Marsha (Bill) Lammers, Joanne Deneweth, and countless nieces, nephews, and friends. Giving and receiving support from his in-laws Fred and Lee Schaible along with their children and grandchildren, has been a constant blessing.
Rob is predeceased by his son Robert (2016), parents Bob (1978) and Shirley (1995), brother Doug (2009), and sister Denise (2012). With them, our Lord has welcomed him into his eternal reward.
Rob fought the good fight, finished the race, and kept the faith. 2 Timothy 4:7.
A Celebration of Life will take place August 22nd at 11:00 AM at St. Mary Mystical Rose Church.
