The Religious Education and Faith Formation at St. Mary Mystical Rose is called to continue to sow the "Good News of Jesus Christ." In following the mission of Jesus to "Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations," we feel that our responsibility in today's world is to bring the message of Jesus to all people of our parish family.
It is our hope that- through an intergenerational, "whole church" approach to catechesis and a variety of methods we will be able to assist people on their "Journey of Faith" through worship, prayer, education, service and sharing.
BAPTISM: To begin Baptism preparation at St Mary Mystical Rose, parents must be registered and regularly attending the Sunday Eucharist. Baptismal preparation is held by arrangement with the Coordinator of Religious Education. To schedule an appointment, please call the parish offices. The Sacrament of Baptism is usually celebrated on the first and third Sunday of the month.
MATRIMONY: If one of the engaged couple (or their parents) is registered at St. Mary Mystical Rose, arrangements may be made personally by the couple. While six months in advance of the marriage date is an acceptable time frame, eight to ten months is preferred.
SICK CALLS: One of our most important ministries here at St Mary Mystical Rose is visiting the sick and homebound and bringing them the Sacrament of the Eucharist. Please notify the parish offices of any seeking to be on this list and we will arrange a visit with them.
ANNULMENT PROCESS: If you are contemplating filing for an annulment, know that it is a healing process. Once you complete your application, it is submitted to the Archdiocese of Detroit Metropolitan Tribunal for review. Please take into consideration that it may take up to 18 months for an individual case to be completed. For more information on this process, please call the parish offices.
