*This pilgrimage is for any young man ages 18 (by May 2016) to 25 who is still discerning his vocation and ‘atsome level’ open to the priesthood. He should be practicing his faith, not in a serious dating relationship, andopen to the possibility of the priesthood
*You must belong to the Archdiocese of Detroit to attend this pilgrimage.
Priestly Vocations: “The Watchmen” Regional Discernment Groups
Are you a man ages 16-55 who wants to actively discern your vocation as a Catholic priest? Or maybe you arejust interested in learning more about the priesthood and meeting people who are working toward the same goal.These Regional Discernment groups will meet bi-monthly for a time of prayer, presentations on discernment,
and fellowship. These groups are run by the AOD’s Regional Vocation Promoters. Below are the dates and locations of the groups from each region:Central Region: Feb 21 at 7 pm at Sacred Heart Seminary, Detroit (in Monsignor Hickey Porch)Northeast Region: Feb 7 at 7 pm at Holy Trinity Parish, Port Huron (Room 101 in St. Stephen School)

Priestly Vocations: World Day of Prayer for Consecrated Life

In 1997, Pope Saint John Paul II instituted a day of prayer for women and men in consecrated life. Thiscelebration is attached to the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord on February 2nd. This Feast is also known asCandlemas Day; the day on which candles are blessed symbolizing Christ who is the light of the world. So too,those in consecrated life are called to reflect the light of Jesus Christ to all peoples.
